New Email Scam Targets QuickBooks Users

Ignore Emails saying "CREDIT DECLINED"

According to the folks at Insightful Accountant (an online magazine), there is a spam/phishing email making the rounds that appears to be coming from Intuit, the publisher of QuickBooks and many other tax and accounting software products.

The email usually carries a heading in all caps (the first sign of a potential scam) that reads CREDIT DECLINED.

The email comes from the so-called "Intuit Payment Team", and says access to your data will be denied until you update your credit card information.

As with all such scams, the best thing to do is to simply delete the email.  If you are unsure, be sure to give us a call.
